<p><b>Cryptography API: Next Generation</b> (<b>CNG</b>) ist <a href="Microsoft" title="Microsoft">Microsofts</a> <a href="Kryptographie" title="Kryptographie">Kryptographieplattform</a> ab <a href="Windows_Vista" class="mw-redirect" title="Windows Vista">Windows Vista</a>, und ersetzt damit 2007 die <a href="CryptoAPI" class="mw-redirect" title="CryptoAPI">CryptoAPI</a> der vorherigen Versionen von Windows. Alle deren Funktionen werden weiterhin unterstützt. Mithilfe der CNG können Kryptographieanwendungen in hochsicherheitsrelevanten Umgebungen realisiert werden.
